Description
Technical intervention on an industrial production line in Avilés (Asturias) developed between 2001 and 2003. The brief covered execution-level documentation, refurbishment design for the existing production hall and full site direction during construction. Work included adaptation of the structural envelope to support new process equipment, reorganisation of production flows, upgrade of finishes and floors for industrial wear, and coordination with the mechanical, electrical and process disciplines. Construction was sequenced around the plant's production calendar to limit downtime. The project reinforced Locle Studio's specialisation in industrial process environments in northern Spain, combining architecture, refurbishment and on-site technical responsibility under a single design team.
